Yes! We take security very seriously. Your bank account connections are handled through Plaid, a trusted financial data platform used by thousands of apps. We use industry-standard encryption to protect your data, and we never store your banking credentials. All communications are encrypted and your data is stored securely.
Once you sign up and log in to Slow Saver, tap the "Connected Accounts" button in the app. You'll be guided through Plaid's secure connection flow where you can search for your bank, log in with your credentials, and select which accounts to link. The entire process takes just a few minutes.
The AI Assistant can answer questions about your finances using natural language. You can ask things like "How much did I spend on food this month?" or "What's my biggest expense category?" You can use voice input for a hands-free experience.

Through Plaid, Slow Saver supports over 12,000 financial institutions in the United States, including major banks like Chase, Bank of America, Wells Fargo, Capital One, and many more. If your bank offers online banking, it's likely supported.
Yes, you can disconnect your bank accounts at any time through the Connected Accounts section in the app. You can also delete your entire account and all associated data from the Settings page.
